Analysis Themes

Analyze more data more quickly with analysis themes.

Themes support has been expanded into nearly every area of the Origin software. Themes can now be used to save settings for a variety of tasks such as importing data, formatting a worksheet, tailoring a graph to meet the requirements of a specific journal, or exporting your graph. Accessing your saved themes is as simple as picking the name from a drop-down list in that operation’s dialog box.

Analysis themes, in particular, offer the following time-saving benenfits:

• Save any analysis routine and all your favorite settings to an analysis theme for use later, thereby eliminating the need to set up your analysis every time you need to perform it.
• Create multiple analysis themes per analysis routine. In other words, configure the same tool in multiple ways. For example, create two themes for linear regression; one that fits with fixed slope and one that fits with fixed intercept. Or, create multiple themes to satisfy the requirements of different end products (e.g. journals or conferences)
• Quickly access saved analysis themes from dynamically generated fly-out menus

All analysis dialogs provide an easy means to save the settings as a theme. Simply click the save button, specify a name, and all your analysis settings will be saved to a new theme.
