imc Mess-Systeme GmbH:
FAMOS (DAT, RAW)
|
|
Origin 8.1 now supports the FAMOS (DAT, RAW) data format.
When importing into Origin, the file information for the selected FAMOS DAT or RAW file is displayed in the import dialog. Upon import, you can quickly review the profile of each signal waveform by enabling the Add Sparklines1 option.
Origin's FAMOS import routine imports the data and its associated metadata. The imported metadata is placed into user-defined parameter rows in the worksheet column header. These can then be utilized when analyzing and graphing your data. |

The ability to import, visualize, and utilize metadata from these files makes Origin an ideal platform for working with FAMOS (DAT, RAW) data.
More information about imc DataWorks (the full-service extension of imc Mess-Systeme GmbH in the US) and the FAMOS file format can be seen below.

imc DataWorks is a full service extension of imc Mes-Systeme GmbH into the North American market. The imc DataWorks offers an extensive range of Integrated Measurement Engineering products. |
FAMOS, the signal analyzing application
FAMOS is signal analysis software tailor-made for the mechanical engineer's specific requirements to process, understand, and document both field and laboratory / test stand data.
The FAMOS data format contains data and
all information about the data, such as physical units, sampling times, data type, comment, etc. Data themselves
are filed in compact binary form. Texts may also be saved. This allows several variables with different types
to be saved together in one file.
The FAMOS data format is used by all other imc applications and devices as the default format.
